With operations across the UK and Europe, the business delivers reliable, flexible, and increasingly decarbonised power through a portfolio spanning thermal generation, battery storage, and carbon capture projects.

The Opportunity

This is an exceptional opportunity for a commercially minded Tax Manager to lead on all aspects of UK and international tax compliance and reporting, while playing a key role in shaping the group\’s long-term tax strategy. You\’ll work closely with the CFO, finance leadership, and external advisors on M&A activity, group restructuring, and process improvement initiatives.

This is a hands‑on, high‑profile role offering genuine breadth, perfect for someone who enjoys both the technical side of tax and influencing at senior level within a dynamic, growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee UK and international tax compliance, reporting, and filings.
  • Partner with external tax advisors and internal finance teams to deliver tax initiatives and ensure best practice.
  • Support M&A, internal restructuring, and cross‑border projects from a tax perspective.
  • Manage relationships with HMRC and external advisors, including handling audits and enquiries.
  • Strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Provide proactive tax advice and training to the wider finance and leadership teams.

About You

  • Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in tax, ideally gained within industry or a mix of practice and in‑house.
  • Strong knowledge of UK corporate tax and international tax.
