They are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to support the Housing Services directorate, partnering with teams across Neighbourhoods, Lettings and Income. This is a hands-on role combining management accounting with commercial business partnering, requiring someone who is comfortable managing month-end processes while providing financial insight and challenge to operational stakeholders. The successful candidate will be proactive, commercially minded and able to make an immediate impact within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all reporting deadlines are achieved.
  • Partner with Housing Services leaders to provide meaningful financial analysis, challenge performance and support operational decision-making that delivers value for money.
  • Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and statutory returns, while maintaining strong financial controls.
  • Analyse trends and identify opportunities to improve financial performance, forecasting accuracy and service delivery.
Key Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant with experience in Finance Business Partnering and Management Accountant roles.
  • Previous experience within the housing association sector (ideally housing services), with a strong understanding of management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to interpret and present financial information clearly to operational stakeholders.
  • Confident analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence decisions and build effective working relationships across the business.
