Base pay range

Finance Assistant | PE backed Company | Salary £35,000 – £45,000 + bonus & excellent benefits

I am currently partnering with a PE backed company looking for a Finance Assistant to come and join the team. My client is growing out the current finance function and looking for people who have a strong interest in the renewables sector to come and join the team.

You will be reporting into a Financial Controller and work closely with various other teams across the business. This is a very interesting role and perfect for someone who is ambitious and looking to progress with their career.

Responsibilities

• Transaction Processing: Manages sales and purchase invoices, expense claims, and collection/payments to maintain smooth financial operations.
• Record Keeping: Maintains accurate ledgers, reconciles accounts, and ensures proper documentation for audits.
• Reporting Support: Assists in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Compliance & Controls: Ensures adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Team Collaboration: Provides administrative and analytical support to finance managers.
• External audit: Work with the Group reporting manager in charge of external reporting to finalise the audit of the development SPVs.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax, debt covenant and regulatory requirements, managing third party providers to ensure full compliance at lowest cost.
• General: Assist with ad hoc projects depending on business requirements.

Qualifications

You will be either part-qualified and working towards your qualification or qualified by experience. You will need to have done a similar role previously and have experience working with multiple ERP systems.
