Goodman Masson are currently supporting a global marketing and advertising agency on their search for a new Senior Commercial finance leader to join its growing Bristol office (hybrid working). Partnering with top tier global brands, the agency has built a reputation for creativity, commercial excellence and a genuinely high performing culture.
This is a pivotal leadership role sitting at the centre of the agency’s commercial decision making. You will partner with Executive and Regional Leadership to drive profitability, influence strategy and ensure robust financial governance across major client portfolios. You will also play a key leadership role in ongoing transformation initiatives, helping shape commercial frameworks, pricing strategy and performance management across markets.
Key responsibilities:- Act as senior commercial finance lead for key client portfolios and regional markets
- Partner with Executive Leadership to shape strategy and drive margin improvement
- Lead agency wide budgeting, forecasting and long range planning
- Manage a team who deliver month end management accounts
- Oversee client profitability, pricing models and commercial risk management
- Lead and support complex client fee and contract negotiations
- Provide strategic oversight on new business pitches and commercial proposals
- Act as primary commercial contact for regional leads and global stakeholders
- Approve significant commercial initiatives across markets
- Support the CFO in delivering strategic, financial and operational objectives
- Mentor and develop junior commercial finance team members
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Proven senior commercial finance experience within an FMCG, media or marketing agency environment ideally, but not a requirement
- An understanding of agency commercial models, revenue recognition and client profitability
- Strategic thinker with the ability to balance commercial opportunity and risk
- Very strong finance business partner and strong financial modelling skills
