Director, Fintech Advisory – Global Investment Bank

This role focuses on investment banking and private equity recruitment, specifically building the bank\’s presence among innovative and disruptive scaleups. The client base primarily consists of early-stage tech businesses.

As a Director, you will contribute to the development of the Fintech & Insurtech team. You will be responsible for maintaining quality within your team, acting as the main communication link between senior management and junior staff, and leading the origination of Fintech & Insurtech clients in the UK. You will also oversee the execution of strategic advisory mandates.

1. Lead origination activities including:
2. Investment Banking origination (Equity Private Placement, M&A, Event-driven Financing & Hedging) within the Fintech & Insurtech sectors

Required skills:

• Deep expertise as a Fintech & Insurtech banker, Equity Private Placement specialist, or IB originator in Coverage
• Strong knowledge of investments and the ability to operate across international markets, with a proven track record in executing Equity Private Placements, M&A, or ECM transactions
• In-depth understanding of the Fintech & Insurtech sectors, including innovation drivers and disruption at product, legal, and regulatory levels, as well as product/tech architecture and business models
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical concepts and provide expert guidance
• Strong leadership and people management skills, capable of setting objectives and managing performance
