We are seeking a skilled Credit Control Manager for a 6-month fixed-term contract to join a leading Lloyd’s of London Syndicate. This is a stand-alone position overseeing the end-to-end credit control function and managing the relationship with an outsourced team based in India. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced credit control professional with a background in the Lloyd’s market to play a pivotal role in ensuring effective cash collection, reconciliation, and credit risk management during a key period of transition and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the outsourced credit control team (India-based), ensuring service levels and KPIs are met.
- Maintain full ownership of the credit control process, including cash allocation, debt chasing, and broker relationships.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of cashflow reporting, aged debt analysis, and reconciliations.
- Act as the internal credit control subject matter expert, liaising with underwriting, finance, and operations teams.
- Lead process improvements and drive best practice across the function.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working within a Lloyd’s of London syndicate – essential or highly desirable.
- Demonstrable experience managing or overseeing outsourced credit control functions, ideally offshore.
- Self-sufficient and confident in a stand-alone role with high levels of responsibility and visibility.
- Strong knowledge of insurance market operations, broker relationships, and premium collection cycles.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Duration: 6 months
Salary: £60,000 – £70,000 pro rata
