Communications Surveillance Analyst
Goodman Masson are currently seeking a Communications Surveillance Analyst to join a leading global investment bank on a day rate contract.
- Location: City of London (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
- Contract: 3-months initially
- Day rate: £335 per day via umbrella (Inside IR35)
About the Role
As a key member of the Compliance Surveillance team, you will play an integral role in monitoring audio and electronic communications to detect inappropriate conduct, regulatory breaches, and financial crime risks. You will work closely with senior Compliance stakeholders to support surveillance activities across EMEA, ensuring adherence to UK and global regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as an SME for communications surveillance, supporting BAU monitoring and technology enhancements.
- Conduct daily surveillance activities using trade and communication surveillance tools.
- Identify potential market abuse, financial crime, and conduct risks, escalating concerns as needed.
- Perform quality control reviews to ensure processes are robust and compliant.
- Support investigations, assurance work, and compliance projects across the business.
- Collaborate with other Compliance teams to deliver an integrated approach to regulatory compliance.
Skills & Experience Required
- Experience in communications or trade surveillance within a banking or financial services environment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage workloads effectively.
- Strong communication skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
