Our client is a high-growth, private equity-backed Commercial Operational Real Estate/Property business. The role offers hybrid working, based near West London. Operating in a dynamic SME environment, the business is embarking on a buy-and-build strategy with a number of further acquisitions in the pipeline. As they scale toward an eventual PE exit over the next few years, they are looking for a high-calibre FC to take full ownership of the function, bring rigour and structure, and drive the modernisation of the business, including getting the business through to successful sale.

We are very open to more junior, high calibre candidates who are wanting to step up and be mentored into a strong Commercial FC/FD. Ideally you will have worked for a large fund PE portfolio company.

You will have total responsibility for all financial matters. This is a highly operational role where you will be tasked with transforming the function, moving away from legacy, manual Excel processes and implementing lean, automated systems and ERP tools to support a scalable platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the key finance business partner to the CEO, Chair, and the private equity investors.
  • Lead, mentor, and professionalise a lean finance team to support the expansion.
  • Lead on all commercial finance and FP&A activity.
  • Manage all financial reporting, group consolidation, tax, covenant management, and cash flow forecasting.
  • Take a lead role in M&A execution, post-acquisition integration, and developing robust financial models.
  • Manage banking relationships and deliver rigorous PE-facing reporting.
What we are looking for:
  • A highly ambitious, technically sound, ACA-trained qualified accountant.
  • A track record of driving change, implementing systems/automation, and scaling a business.
  • M&A and integration experience is desirable.
  • Experience within property, operational real estate, hospitality/leisure, facilities management or other asset-backed businesses would be preferred.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a definitive number one role, lead a major business transformation, and directly share in the success of a PE exit.
