I'm looking for someone to join a fast-growing PE backed business as a Commercial Finance Analyst, reporting into the Finance Director.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain the SQL data warehouse and pipelines that the business runs on
- Develop forecasting models for sales volumes, tonnage and pricing across clients, waste streams and locations
- Integrate data from new acquisitions into a single, consistent reporting layer
- Turn all of that into Excel-based bridges, variance analyses and board-ready summaries that the business can use
What I'm after:
- Strong SQL (complex queries, joins, window functions, warehouse experience)
- Advanced Excel modelling bridges, waterfalls, variance, clean investor-ready outputs
- Commercial fluency, you can frame analysis in terms of revenue, margin, volume, price, mix and churn
- Power BI, and ideally exposure to MS Dynamics / NetSuite / Salesforce
- Self-directed you scope your own work and deliver without being managed line by line
- Multi-entity or acquisition-driven business experience, and using new tools
