This is an opportunity to join one of the UK's leading Wealth Management businesses in a role that will see you partner with senior management along with producing commercial modelling, analysis, Board reporting and model & evaluate new acquisitions.
As you can see from the above this is an excellent role for someone who is very strong at modelling in Excel as well as using analytical tools, but they also need someone who is good at partnering with non-finance stakeholders too.
The requirements for this role are a qualified accountant with at least 3 years post qualified experience and has worked in a business partnering or FP&A / modelling role before. There is a strong preference for someone working within the wealth management, investment management or wider Financial Services sectors.
They need someone who is hands on and able to produce analysis and reports, but you will also manage 2 more junior colleagues as well who can support you.
Key Responsibilities- Business Partnering
- Lead finance business partner to the wealth planning business
- Able to build strong relationships and influence senior stakeholders as well as challenge assumptions and suggest solutions
- Deliver Management Information, Analysis and Forecasting for the business area
- Produce monthly and quarterly reporting packs for senior management and the Board - including commentary and trend analysis
- Lead the Planning and Forecasting process for the business area
- Develop financial models to evaluate potential acquisitions and support due diligence
- Build and maintain scenario based models to assess impact of strategic decisions
- Provide insight driven recommendations based on models and analysis produced
- Deliver post-acquisition insight, performance monitoring and analysis
- Automate and improve FP&A processes
- Promote the use of technology and analytical tools within the team
