Pay - £400 - £550 per day INSIDE IR35
The Opportunity
We are currently working with a Social Housing Provider to recruit an experienced Fire Safety Projects Lead on an interim basis.

This is a key role within the organisation's Fire Safety function, responsible for managing and delivering specialist fire safety projects arising from Fire Risk Assessments and wider statutory compliance requirements.

You will take ownership of projects from initial survey and specification through procurement, contractor management, delivery and completion, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required legislative and industry standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a fire safety professional with a strong project management, surveying or construction background who is comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of specialist fire safety projects identified through Fire Risk Assessments and wider compliance programmes.

Manage projects from initial site surveys through specification, tendering, procurement, delivery and completion.

Ensure projects comply with relevant fire safety legislation, health and safety requirements and industry best practice.

Monitor project programmes, budgets, risks and KPIs, providing regular performance reporting.

Prepare specifications, tenders, estimates and contract documentation for external works and services.

Manage and monitor contractors, challenging poor performance and taking appropriate remedial action where required.

Support procurement activity in accordance with organisational financial regulations and procurement procedures.

Lead on consultation requirements associated with major fire safety works where applicable.

Maintain accurate project, contract and compliance records.

Work closely with internal repairs, property, compliance and fire safety teams to ensure effective delivery.

Support the management and administration of the Fire Risk Assessment programme and associated actions.

Ensure FRA actions and associated project information are accurately recorded and progressed.

Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, contractors and residents.

Ensure residents and other stakeholders receive clear, timely and appropriate communication regarding works affecting their homes.

Help identify and resolve issues quickly, avoiding disputes and ensuring projects remain on track.

Promote continuous improvement and a strong health and safety culture throughout the delivery of projects.

About You
The successful candidate will have:
HNC/HND level qualification or equivalent relevant professional experience.

A relevant Fire Safety qualification , such as NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management or equivalent.

Strong knowledge of Fire Risk Assessments, fire safety procedures and statutory compliance .

Experience within a construction, surveying, property or building safety environment .

Proven experience managing fire safety or property-related projects from inception through to completion.

Strong contractor and contract management experience.

Experience of preparing specifications, tenders, estimates and project documentation.

Excellent knowledge of health and safety requirements and industry best practice.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, contractors and senior stakeholders.

A proactive, self-motivated approach and the ability to work independently.

The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver against tight deadlines.

A genuine customer and people-focused approach.

A full driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
