A global travel management business is looking to hire an ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) candidate to join its finance function. The role will manage 4 people and will lead revenue accounting. You will own day to day revenue accounting operations, including monthly close as well as technical revenue analysis for new customers and product offerings. This role ensures compliant revenue recognition, strengthening SOX controls, scaling processes, and partnering closely with multiple directorates as the business offering continues to evolve.
Responsibilities
- Own month-end close tasks for revenue accounting, partnering with AR and revenue operations.
- Standardize and improve revenue processes, controls and documentation across month-end close and reporting.
- Review and advise on supplier/partner contracts with multiple variable revenue elements and complex data models.
- Identify process automation and systems optimisation opportunities in the order-to-cash cycle.
- Maintain and enforce global compliance with revenue accounting policies and disclosures.
- Support external audits, including preparing workpapers and responding to inquiries.
- Assist in the design of controls over new revenue streams and business processes.
- Prepare technical accounting whitepapers for non-recurring or unique revenue transactions.
