    Your Role:

    As the Manager of Valuation , you will be responsible for leading a team of actuarial analysts and professionals, guiding them through key tasks related to the actuarial valuation of diverse lines of business. You will oversee the development, testing, and implementation of models and processes for financial reporting, business planning, and regulatory compliance.

    Your responsibilities will span a wide range of activities including model interpretation, validation, and regulatory reporting across multiple capital bases. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to provide actionable insights, contribute to the development of new business, and implement continuous improvements in the valuation processes.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Team Leadership : Lead and mentor a team of actuaries and analysts, ensuring high-quality delivery and effective communication across multiple time zones.

    • Model Oversight : Guide the interpretation and analysis of actuarial model outputs for financial reporting, business planning, and regulatory capital compliance.

    • Collaboration : Work closely with teams across the organization (including capital management, finance, operations, and pricing) to deliver valuable insights and solutions.

    • Process Improvement : Champion a culture of continuous improvement, contributing to the evolution of modelling processes and the automation of key tasks through the implementation of new systems and technologies.

    • Model Validation : Ensure model results are accurate and complete by producing control and validation reports, addressing any discrepancies, and maintaining quality standards.

    • Strategic Insight : Provide expertise in scenario modelling, stress testing, and assessing new business opportunities, such as non-proportional retrocession arrangements.

    Skills & Experience:

    • Qualified Actuary : A minimum of 5 years’ experience within life insurance or life reinsurance, with a strong understanding of actuarial principles.

    • Team Management : Proven experience in managing and coaching teams, with the ability to lead across multiple locations and time zones.

    • Change Management : Track record of implementing process improvements, introducing new controls and systems, and supporting major change initiatives.

    • Modelling Expertise : Proficient in actuarial modelling software (Tyche preferred) and highly skilled in Microsoft Excel.

    • Regulatory Knowledge : Strong understanding of regulatory capital regimes (e.g., EEC, BMA EBS, LAGIC, KICS, MAS, LIMAT, US Stat).

    • Stakeholder Management : Ability to manage relationships with cross-functional teams, act as the primary point of contact for actuarial model-related queries, and coordinate with various internal stakeholders.
