Location: Meadowfresh site, Christchurch
Role: Production Operator/General Hand
Shift: Rotating 4 on 4 off roster 6am to 6:30pm
Wages: Ranging from $29.29 per hour plus day and night shift allowances, superannuation scheme and up to 9% company contributions, competitive overtime rates, free yearly health checks, free medical insurance, long service leave bonus starting at 1 year's service, career progression pathways.
UHT DEPARTMENT
Production operating with Goodman Fielder involves overseeing and managing the manufacturing process to ensure that UHT products are created efficiently, safely, and to the required quality standards. This role typically includes tasks such as monitoring equipment, coordinating with different departments, troubleshooting issues, and implementing process improvements.
Production operators are responsible for operating machinery used in the dairy manufacturing process. Operators must be skilled in handling various types of machinery and be able to quickly address any mechanical issues that arise to prevent downtime and maintain productivity. This role is physically demanding involving lifting and standing on your feet for extended periods so please be prepared. Desired Experience
- Good aptitude and literacy (numerical and computer skills)
- Willingness to learn and develop
- Previous dairy experience in UHT ideal
- Previous FMCG experience preferred
- Machine operation experience advantageous
- A level of mechanical aptitude desired
- Honesty and effective communication
- Ability to follow good manufacturing practices
- Physically capable of carrying 20kgs
- Exceptional team player
