Job Description: Personal Assistant to Chief Executive
Location: Cannock, West Midlands (Head Office)
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Benefits: 5 weeks holiday per annum (2 weeks fixed holidays over Christmas & New Year)
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week) 08.30-16.00 Mon - Thurs; 08.30-13.30 Friday
Travel: Required to Group sites in Worcester, St Asaph and Flint as needed
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant (PA) to support the Chief Executive and majority shareholder of a dynamic, privately owned manufacturing business. This is a pivotal role offering variety, responsibility and the opportunity to work at the heart of a successful Group with multiple sites.
Reporting Line
- Reports directly to the Chief Executive.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative and organisational support to the Chief Executive.
- Manage complex diaries, appointments, and travel arrangements, including inter-site visits.
- Prepare, edit, and format documents, presentations, and reports using Mac OS, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.
- Coordinate meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and follow-up actions.
- Oversee email and correspondence management, ensuring timely responses and prioritisation.
- Liaise professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
- Support ad hoc projects and business initiatives as directed by the Chief Executive.
- Ensure the effective running of the Chief Executive’s office, anticipating needs and proactively resolving issues.
- Line management responsibility for the Driver-Fleet Manager, ensuring efficient scheduling, vehicle management and high standards of service.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant, or similar role supporting senior management.
- Exceptional IT skills, specifically with Mac OS, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, and Apple Calendar.
- Outstanding organisational and time management abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, exercise initiative, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Willingness and ability to travel to other Group sites (Worcester, St Asaph, Flint) as required.
- Experience in managing or supervising staff, ideally in a support or operational capacity.
- Professionalism, discretion, and a proactive approach.
Desirable
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial business environment
- Foreign languages & cultural awareness important (French, German, Spanish or Portuguese)
- Familiarity with the West Midlands and North Wales regions
- Familiarity with London and international air travel
