Goodenough College is recruiting a Senior Maintenance Engineer with proven experience of managing and leading a maintenance team to oversee planned preventative maintenance and reactive works, such as M E assets like boilers and other works in collaboration with the wider Estates team. The College is an educational charity, providing accommodation to international postgraduate students (we call them Members) and their families in a friendly and collegiate setting on two sites across a picturesque London Square.
About the role:
- You will be responsible for managing planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, statutory compliance and minor MEP projects.
- Working closely with the Building Services Manager, you will supervise maintenance operatives and contractors, ensure high standards of health and safety, and help deliver a safe, comfortable environment for our Member residents, colleagues and visitors.
You will have:
- A recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing or a related discipline (minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Strong and demonstrable experience in building services maintenance.
- Experience managing PPM programmes, reactive maintenance and statutory compliance.
- The ability to supervise contractors and maintenance teams effectively.
- Experience using CAFM systems and maintaining accurate records.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
