The HR Assistant / Office Manager supports the delivery of core HR and office operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration. This role is ideal for someone looking to grow their HR career in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Onboarding
    • Support recruitment activities including assessment centres, screening, interview coordination, and offers.
    • Coordinate onboarding processes to ensure a smooth and positive new starter experience.
  • Employee Relations & Engagement
    • Act as a first point of contact for basic employee queries.
    • Support minor employee relations matters and contribute to a positive workplace culture.
  • HR Administration & Office Management
    • Oversee HR administration and manage employee documentation and records.
    • Maintain HRIS data and support reporting requirements.
    • Assist with day-to-day office management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Performance, Policies & Compliance
    • Support performance review cycles and related administration.
    • Respond to policy queries and support compliance with UK employment legislation.
  • Reward, Benefits & Wellbeing
    • Assist with compensation and benefits administration and benchmarking.
    • Support health & safety initiatives and promote a safe working environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Previous HR or administrative experience desirable but not essential.
  • Basic knowledge of UK employment law.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
