Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all the children at all times.
- Supervise children, engaging with them in aspects of play and conversation.
- Plan and lead craft activities.
- Meet and greet parents.
- Develop quality play and activities, ensuring the engagement of all children, specific to their individual needs through a variety of play opportunities.
- Implement playworker principles and the EYFS statutory framework, and general childcare requirements.
- Monitor homework activities, where appropriate.
- Serve prepared refreshments.
- Ensure understanding and appropriate implementation of all the School\βs policies and procedures.
- Complete training associated with this role i.e. food hygiene and paediatric first aid course.
- Report any concerns e.g. health and safety, safeguarding or behaviour in accordance with the school\βs policies.
- Breakfast club runs from 7.30am to 8.30am and After school club runs from 2.45pm to 5.45pm.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in childcare or education settings would be advantageous.
- Self-confidence and common sense.
- Adaptability and enthusiasm.
- Confidence in liaising with parents and external agencies.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and Health & Safety.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities for children.
Salary & Hours
Salary: Grade B (FTE: Β£23,606)
Hourly rate: Β£12.58
Hours: As and when required
Contract: Casual Contract
