Wraparound Care Assistant - Bank Role

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all the children at all times.
• Supervise children, engaging with them in aspects of play and conversation.
• Plan and lead craft activities.
• Meet and greet parents.
• Develop quality play and activities, ensuring the engagement of all children, specific to their individual needs through a variety of play opportunities.
• Implement playworker principles and the EYFS statutory framework, and general childcare requirements.
• Monitor homework activities, where appropriate.
• Serve prepared refreshments.
• Ensure understanding and appropriate implementation of all the School\’s policies and procedures.
• Complete training associated with this role i.e. food hygiene and paediatric first aid course.
• Report any concerns e.g. health and safety, safeguarding or behaviour in accordance with the school\’s policies.
• Breakfast club runs from 7.30am to 8.30am and After school club runs from 2.45pm to 5.45pm.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience in childcare or education settings would be advantageous.
• Self-confidence and common sense.
• Adaptability and enthusiasm.
• Confidence in liaising with parents and external agencies.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and Health & Safety.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities for children.

Salary & Hours

Salary: Grade B (FTE: £23,606)

Hourly rate: £12.58

Hours: As and when required

Contract: Casual Contract
