Position Summary
We are looking for an Assistant House Manager to support and supervise care teams and the House Manager, promoting a safe and welcoming living environment for young people.
Responsibilities
- Support planning, prioritising, organising and reviewing group care for young people in the House.
- Ensure care and support is delivered safely, securely and positively, in line with legislation, organisational and procedural requirements.
- Deputise for the House Manager as necessary.
- Supervise individuals to achieve agreed work plans and objectives, and ensure opportunities for maximising performance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience of supporting vulnerable young people.
- Committed to children's rights.
- HNC in Social Care and SVQ in Caring for Children and Young People Level 4 or above, or equivalent recognised by SSSC.
- Must apply for registration with SSSC as a registered supervisor within the first three months and be registered as a registered supervisor within six months.
