At GoodOaks, we provide professional yet personal care and support. We are delighted to offer our Social Circles service to clients in the Dorchester area. We are an award‑winning home care company striving to be the go‑to provider of quality care by valuing, developing, and rewarding the dedicated individuals who work with us.
What will you do?
- Care for up to four older clients in your own home on hosting days.
- Collect and return clients at the start and end of the day.
- Offer a nutritious, home‑cooked hot lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
- Provide a safe and engaging environment to support clients’ wellbeing.
- Assist with personal care and administer medication.
- Create meaningful interactions that stimulate mental and social engagement.
Who are you?
- Previous care experience not essential but demonstrate skills and qualities for the role.
- Empathetic and able to read and respond to the emotional needs of older people.
- Gain great satisfaction from delivering engagement and care to people.
- Excellent listener and able to relate to people from various backgrounds.
- Positive and flexible attitude towards the role.
- Full driving licence, access to a 5‑door car and ability to transport clients.
- Home must have easy ground‑floor access, a downstairs toilet, and minimal steps.
- Willing to undertake a DBS check to work with vulnerable adults.
- Ideally live in Dorchester, but local applications are welcome.
What do we offer?
- Part‑time work one to three days per week whilst hosting from 10am – 2pm.
- £110 per day & food costs up to £11 per person.
- All expenses covered including mileage at 45p a mile.
- Direct and ongoing leadership support both in‑person and remotely.
- Fully supported risk assessments, health and safety and activity guidance.
- Paid training will be provided and ongoing development.
- Blue Light Card discount scheme.
- Paid DBS check if required.
