Good Life Sorted is an award-winning social enterprise company that connects older adults and their families with hand-picked, vetted individuals in their local community. Our Helpers are self-employed and provide a range of home help services for a fee.
Helpers do not offer personal care, and no experience is required.
To Apply To Be a Helper, You Must
- Be over 18
- Hold a full driving licence and have access to a car
- Be available a minimum of 5 hours per week to visit customers
We are looking for Helpers who enjoy interacting with older adults and are:
- Excellent communicators who enjoy meeting new people and can build rapport easily
- Trustworthy, reliable and punctual
- Confident in managing challenging situations
- Flexible and able to show initiative
- Good listeners
- Comfortable using technology
Services Our Helpers Typically Offer
- Light cleaning and laundry. Light cleaning includes dusting, hoovering and mopping floors, washing up, and wiping over surfaces.
- Home help and changing beds
- Companionship
- Welfare checks
- Grocery shopping and errands
- Support with admin and technology
- Transport and trips out
- Meal preparation
- Dog walking
- Medication reminders

Please note, this is a flexible self-employed role with no fixed hours or guaranteed income. If your application is successful, Good Life Sorted will sign you up for an Enhanced DBS check, which you will need to pay for directly — the cost is £60.70. When you start visiting customers, you will also need to take out a Public Liability Insurance policy, which is available from around £5 per month.
