Lead and manage multiple HV/MV Protection Systems projects concurrently from project award through to successful client handover and project closeout, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations. Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, OEMs, system integrators, and internal stakeholders throughout all phases of project execution.
Responsibilities
- Project Management & Delivery: Oversee project award to handover.
- Planning & Scheduling: Develop and oversee detailed project execution plans, milestone schedules, short‑term look‑ahead plans; monitor engineering deliverables, procurement activities, system configuration, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning; identify delays and implement recovery actions.
- Budget & Commercial Management: Track costs vs budgets; prepare progress claims, invoicing, variations, change orders, subcontractor claims, vendor coordination; support cash flow, contract compliance, risk mitigation.
- Stakeholder & Client Management: Act as key liaison; lead project coordination meetings; provide regular project updates; support technical clarifications, contractual discussions, issue resolution, dispute management.
- Risk, Safety & Quality Management: Maintain project risk registers; coordinate mitigation plans; address relay coordination conflicts, communication/network integration issues, IEC 61850 interoperability; ensure compliance with company WSH policies, Singapore regulations, client and project quality requirements; coordinate site safety compliance.
- Cross‑Functional Coordination: Coordinate handovers from Sales to Project Delivery; work with engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning teams; ensure relay settings, IEC 61850 SCL files, protection panel installation, testing and commissioning using protection testing equipment.
- Documentation and Handover: Ensure complete and accurate project documentation including as‑built drawings, relay settings files, SCL files, commissioning reports, operation & maintenance manuals.
Requirements
- 5–10+ years of experience in Power systems, Substations, Protection & Control systems, Utility or grid environments.
- Strong hands‑on experience in HV/MV Protection Systems projects, protection relays (distance, differential, overcurrent), relay coordination studies, Substation Automation Systems, IEC 61850 protocols, SCL file configuration, IEDs, RTUs, protection panels, communication systems, FAT, SAT, testing, commissioning, protection testing equipment such as OMICRON.
