An exciting opportunity to work for the Good Homes Alliance (GHA) is available up to 3 days per week to start from end of June / early July 2026. This diverse role will include providing essential support across a wide range of projects and events at the GHA, working with the team plus housing and sustainability experts.

Known for supporting a progressive network of housing providers, consultants and public sector clients, we produce guidance and reports, facilitate learning and exchange, as well as driving change through successful campaigns such as Build Net Zero Now. Recently we have been working to enable better project connections for and between our members – showing further impact and value to our community.

The Good Homes Alliance (GHA) is a non‑profit community interest company with member and partner organisations from across the built environment industry who seek to go beyond business as usual and collaborate to deliver homes fit for the 21st century. Our mission is to catalyse the delivery of high‑performance energy efficient homes and places, which enable comfortable and healthy lives. Across the themes we aim to be ‘people focused’ – putting residents at the heart of all we do. This includes thinking about why and how we create good homes.

We are looking for an enthusiastic project manager to bring their skills to lead existing projects and networks of the GHA. We want someone to bring clarity and rigour to projects and ensure housing experts are fully involved, whilst keeping things on track (time and budget). The role will involve project management across a number of existing activities and networks of the GHA, managing the contracts and relationships.

Core activities include:

  • Building Performance Network (BPN) – facilitating meetings & research outputs, and hosting a cross‑sector network of ‘BPE Pioneers’ including leading architects, solution providers and academia
  • Residential Post Occupancy Evaluation (POE) working group – steering meetings, actions and outputs including development of new guidance
  • Shading Modelling project – managing a new guidance project due to be complete in September ’26 with partners and consultants
  • HEARTH project
  • Developing stakeholder engagement and peer sessions with leading academics through Oxford Brookes University.
  • Healthy Homes guidance – coordinating research mapping with industry and academia on healthy homes (indoor air quality etc).
  • Good Homes Fund Finder – supporting the development of a web version of a novel financial incentive tool for new build and retrofit.

You’ll be working at the intersection of research and real‑world housing delivery—helping experts bring thinking to address housing design and sustainability challenges.

We are seeking a candidate who can identify new opportunities for our member‑led organisation and that has strong connections within the built environment sector. The ideal candidate will also be comfortable supporting the development of proposals and funding applications, helping to scope projects, coordinate inputs and progress opportunities through to secured work.

This is primarily a project management role and not a scientific or technical role, but candidates should have a good knowledge of sustainability and the built environment. The role is initially for 6 months and part‑time (c2 days per week) with the likelihood of being extended. The successful applicant will ideally commence the role in June 2026. New employees will be subject to a 3‑month probationary period.

The salary for the role is between £35,000–£45,000 (FTE), depending on knowledge, skills and experience. Please note your salary expectations in your cover letter.

We operate in small teams and have close interactions with our Board and members, comprising of a number of industry‑leading experts in their fields.

Reports to Laura Broderick, GHA Programme Director. Works closely with the team and GHA Chair, Tom Dollard (PTE Architects).

Our staff are based throughout the UK so remote/home working is required primarily. GHA does have use of a hot desk space in London at PTE Architects offices, Diespeker Wharf, 38 Graham Street, N1 8JX.
