ABOUT THIS ROLE
Reporting to Head of Category & Trade Marketing UK&I, the Trade Marketing Assistant Manager UK&I will be a passionate brand advocate with a sharp eye for retail excellence and consumer engagement. Obsessed with delivering standout in-store and digital experiences, they will thrive on bringing campaigns to life across premium retail environments, including iconic partners like John Lewis, Harrods, Selfridges and Travel retail partners.
JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Campaign Planning & Execution: Support the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across the UK&I Premium Retail channel, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and commercial objectives. Lead the implementation of marketing initiatives across key retail premium and travel retail partners, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. Manage the creation and deployment of campaign toolkits and assets (POS, Digital, VM) to support in-store and online execution.
- Retailer & Channel Marketing: Build and deliver annual marketing plans for key accounts, in line with marketing rebate agreements and in collaboration with the Senior Key Account Manager. Act as the marketing lead in Premium Retail and Travel Retail strategy meetings, contributing insights and recommendations to drive channel growth, present new launches and marketing calendar. Brief and manage the development of POS, digital assets, and VM artwork for new counters and additional sites, with support from the Trade Marketing Coordinator. Own the planning and execution of retailer media campaigns (onsite and offsite), ensuring alignment with brand objectives and maximizing ROI across paid placements, sponsored content, and digital activations. Analyse performance of retail media investments, providing actionable insights and recommendations to optimise spend and improve campaign effectiveness in collaboration with account teams and media partners.
- Events & Trade Activation: Plan and execute retailer events (virtual and in-store), working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver best-in-class execution. Support the Head of Category & Trade Marketing in managing Premium Retail activations, including budget tracking, PO creation, and coordination of installations and events. Oversee sample allocation and GWP/tooling coordination for PR and retail marketing initiatives.
- Performance Tracking & Market Insights: Monitor and report on campaign performance using a mix of qualitative and quantitative metrics to assess ROI and inform future planning. Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behaviour to feed into the broader marketing strategy.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven & successful track record in driving sales through marketing.
- Ability to work under pressure within deadlines and able to prioritise own workload.
- Experience of successfully implementing and executing marketing activities.
- Ability to understand commercial priorities and respond accordingly.
- Understanding of UK retail and the UK beauty press.
- Eye for detail with excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Computer literate and proficiency with MS applications, especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A consummate marketing professional and commercially astute.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong self-awareness, communication, networking, and people skills.
- A proactive approach and the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
- Flexible and adaptable to commit fully to this highly demanding role particularly in areas where there are multiple stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, passionate, empathetic individual with a positive attitude, "can do" approach and entrepreneurial growth and 'anything is possible' mindset.
- Demonstrate ownership and accountability, can give examples of taking measured risks to achieve results.
- Act with transparency and integrity.
- Experience in the beauty, luxury, or FMCG sector (desirable).
- London based (3 days in the office) with the ability to travel to UK/ROI without restrictions.
