ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Commercial Master Data Analyst role is responsible the accurate creation, maintenance, and governance of master data across ghd’s core business systems.
This includes ensuring that master data relating to vendors and customers is up-to-date, consistent, and compliant with company policies and regulatory requirements.
The role also involves managing pricing structures, updating price lists, and supporting the commercial team with data analysis and reporting tasks.
LOCATION
This role will be based in our Leeds office, and we offer a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.
- JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creating, updating, and verifying vendor and customer master data in MSD and related platforms, including accurate and timely data entry to maintain high quality records.
- Maintaining pricing data, including the setup and amendment of pricing conditions and discount structures.
- Collaborating with procurement, sales, and finance teams to resolve data discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Supporting audits and compliance checks to ensure adherence to internal controls and external regulations.
- Generating and analysing reports to monitor master data accuracy and pricing effectiveness.
- Providing training and guidance to colleagues on master data management processes and best practices.
- Provide ad hoc support to Product Master Data activities, including interaction with ghd’s PLM system to assist with data alignment, governance, and cross-system data integrity.
REQUIREMENTS
- Intermediate or above proficiency in Excel, including functions, lookups, pivot tables, and data validation.
- High level of attention to detail with the ability to perform fast, precise data entry and maintain data integrity across multiple systems.
- Experience working with vendor, customer, or product master data within ERP systems (e. g., MSD, SAP, Oracle).
- Experience supporting global or multi‑market data models, ensuring consistency and alignment across regions.
- Demonstrates initiative in identifying data risks, process gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- High level of attention to detail with the ability to perform fast, precise data entry and maintain data integrity across multiple systems.
- Working knowledge of Power Query, SQL, and Power BI to support data transformation, analysis, and reporting activities.
