ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Global Brand Manager is a key member within the global marketing team, focused on the go to market of launches both off and online. Responsible for the full end to end process (limited editions) and GTM launch dossiers or NPD. The purpose of this role is to drive global brand consistency, in line with commercial strategy.

The role is responsible for administration, research and project management to support the global marketing calendar, coupled with global brand guardianship. Based in London with some travel, the position provides central support and coordination with Regions (EMEA/APAC & US), to ensure on-time premium professional excellence in execution and amplification of global marketing initiatives. This position is a 6-month fixed term contract.

LOCATION

This role will be based in our London (Soho) office, and we offer a hybrid working pattern of 3 days in the office and 2 days WFH.

JOB ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Market Intelligence: Analysis of specified category on a worldwide basis: Category and competitor market shares (value and volume). Competitor analysis including strategy, product range, pricing, merchandising, business models and how they link up to consumer trends. Lead the understanding, analysis and documentation of competitor activity to ensure competitor understanding is front and central in our planning and activation.
  • Go to Market: Responsible for project relevant go to market launch dossiers, delivering global brand consistency and the strategic framework for local market execution for projects. Key coordination with regions, with strong commercial acumen. Collaborate and co-ordinate internal cross-functional teams and external agencies ensuring all final assets are delivered on time and in budget.
  • Projects (Limited Edition & Category): Responsible for full end-to-end for Limited editions. Work in close collaboration with project & category owner from NPD Marketing & become category expert from a Brand POV. In-depth understanding of category trends/competitors and performance from a ghd perspective but also a Market view (via GfK). Work closely with Global Head of Brand to fully understand asset usage & performance & ensure deliverables are as efficient as possible. Build learnings into future campaigns to ensure maximum performance from both a product & creative perspective. Cross-functional collaboration with Regions, Design, Studio, Digital, Finance, Operation and Supply Chain. Interpretation of relevant trends to build campaign concepts, themes, colour, collection name proposals that align to brand vision, values and attitude. Mobilise internal cross-functional teams and external partners. In collaboration with Finance and S&OP, demonstrate the commercial opportunity and sales potential, including line-up proposal. In collaboration with CMF and packaging design teams, brief concepts through to final artwork approval. (Ltd Ed) Build campaign briefs and co-ordinate all cross-functional accountabilities, driving brand consistency, prioritising the customer journey. Manage campaign shoot and deliverables, including external partners. Continuously explore new and innovative content ideas to differentiate product launch vs others. Consider use of AI and how this can make campaign assets more efficient, whilst keeping true to the ghd brand. Design, develop and deploy the go to market launch dossiers in line with marketing calendar; 6 months in advance to maximise local market activation(s). Post launch analysis.
  • Digital: Digitally native approach, key collaboration with social media Team and Digital. Evolve in the digital space to aim to challenge the norm and improve the digital experience by campaign led initiatives. Developed understanding of social media networks / channels and how to maximise opportunity. Global brand guardian, driving global brand consistency, prioritising the customer journey, (website, CRM and social). Sharing of best practice to maximise on launch potential and local market activation. Strong understanding our target consumers’ culture, fashion and hair trends.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Marketing qualification or equivalent.
  • Demonstrable global brand management experience, (3+ years), strong preference to beauty industry.
  • Strong creative skills and affinity with premium/luxury, beauty and trends.
  • Strong interpersonal skills coupled with an inclusive mindset.
  • Team player, with a positive mindset.
  • High resilience thrives on creating positive change.
  • Full proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience with stage gate process preferred.
  • Strong numerate and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring deadlines are achieved.
  • Passionate about ghd, with genuine interest in hair styling category.
