We have a series of innovations rolling out during 2026 including an AI-driven open source resource to enable easier and more in-depth access to our unique knowledge library, a specialist knowledge hub for NHS organisations in England seeking AFT authorisation and an expanded series of events covering many contemporary aspects of governance for public purpose organisations. All this is part of GGi's unique knowledge role in UK public purpose governance.
We are now scaling rapidly and seeking an experienced senior consultant who will lead complex governance and strategic projects while helping drive GGi's next phase of growth.
You will bring:
- substantial consultancy (or equivalent advisory) experience and a strong understanding of governance and/or regulation
- deep sector knowledge and networks in at least one of the following: health/NHS, higher education, the third sector, housing or sports
- a genuine interest in the world and society, with a track record of voluntary, advocacy, creative or community work that reflects our values
- the commercial acumen and networks to confidently contribute to business development, client relationship growth and new opportunities.
Ideally you will be based in, or have a demonstrable connection with, Wales to strengthen our regional presence, though we are fully flexible for outstanding candidates anywhere in the UK. Being a Welsh language speaker would be an advantage.
What you can expect
This is a pivotal role in a growing business. You will lead high-impact assignments, mentor colleagues, contribute to thought leadership and publications, and play a visible part in expanding our reach. As a future GGi leader, you will join our in‑house leadership development programme (LDP) - a practical, high-value 12-18 month programme blending internal achievements with targeted external learning. Successful completion leads to promotion to director level with enhanced responsibilities and rewards.
We operate a modern, flexible rewards system that recognises contribution, expertise and growth. The role is offered initially at the starting point of the senior consultant / associate director pay band from £65,000, with clear progression to director level at £95,000+, based on performance and impact. There is a company-wide bonus scheme, which, on successful completion of the LDP and transition to director, is further enhanced and can reach up to three months' salary, alongside an attractive overall package that includes significant investment in your ongoing development.
