We are looking for a fun, dedicated, enthusiastic, experienced professional, level 3 practitioner, who is wanting to make a difference in the lives of young children.
At Good Foundations Day Nursery, we are committed to enabling a nurturing, fun and engaging environment where children can thrive. We encourage independence and creativity which is achieved best through play-based activities. The main ethos of the nursery is to provide high quality childcare and education in a home from home environment.
What we are looking for:
- A full Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Childcare
- Recent experience in working as a nursery nurse implementing the EYFS and safeguarding policies
- Experience working with a Keyworker system, keeping track of children's development through assessing and tracking
- A vast knowledge of children's development with the ability to support and work with their next steps
- A proactive and enthusiastic approach to childcare, with the focus being the child's development and wellbeing
- Someone who can have fun and doesn’t mind looking a little bit silly
Key responsibilities:
- Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children
- Act as a keyworker, carrying out observations and assessments, linking them effectively to the EYFS
- Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development
- Ensure that safeguarding policies and procedures are always met
- Maintain high standards of health and safety within the nursery environment
Requirements before you start:
- A clear and up to date enhanced DBS check is required before the start date
- Two satisfactory references, including one from your most recent employer (both before start date)
Working Hours:
Shifts are worked Monday to Friday, working alternate weeks of 8.00am until 4.00pm or 10.00am until 6.00pm.
