This is a full-time on-site role in South London! We require a deep understanding of the UK demographic and specifically the London food scene. Overseas applicants for this reason won't be considered.
At Good Food Studio, we help ambitious food businesses create products and menus that rock the world. One week we might be developing a premium retail range for a challenger brand. The next, we're creating a new restaurant concept, leading a manufacturing trial or helping an established business rethink its food strategy. Our projects span hospitality, foodservice, retail and manufacturing, partnering with everyone from ambitious start-ups to nationally recognised brands. No two projects are the same, and that's exactly how we like it.
We're now looking for a Product Development Manager to join our growing team and play a key role in shaping the next chapter of the studio.
About the roleThis isn't a traditional product development role. We're looking for someone who can combine creativity, technical expertise and commercial thinking to lead projects from the very first client conversation through to successful launch. You'll work across hospitality, foodservice and retail, developing products, leading client relationships, managing commercial delivery and helping turn ambitious ideas into commercially successful food businesses. You'll be equally comfortable in the kitchen, the boardroom and the factory.
What you'll do- Lead end-to-end product development across hospitality, retail and big corporate food clients.
- Develop innovative food products, menus and concepts.
- Manage recipe development, technical documentation and factory trials.
- Lead projects, budgets and timelines across multiple live clients.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, suppliers and manufacturing partners.
- Lead client tastings, workshops and presentations.
- Support new client enquiries, help shape proposals and contribute to winning exciting new projects.
- Mentor our development team while continually raising technical standards.
You'll ideally have experience across both hospitality and retail, with a proven track record of taking products from concept through to launch. You'll enjoy solving complex challenges, asking better questions and raising the standard of everything around you. You'll bring:
- Strong product development experience.
- Commercial awareness and project ownership.
- Experience working with manufacturers and production partners.
- Excellent communication and client management skills.
- Experience leading projects and developing others.
- Knowledge of food trends, flavours and great taste buds.
Experience in hospitality and food service at any level is a big bonus. Consultancy experience would be a bonus, but it's not essential.
Why join Good Food Studio? We're a small team with big ambitions. We care deeply about quality, and attention to detail is our religion. We move quickly and challenge each other to produce exceptional work. You'll have genuine ownership from day one, working directly with founders, clients and manufacturers on projects that make a real impact. If you're looking for somewhere you can help shape the company and contribute to gold standard innovation โ not just deliver someone else's process โ you'll fit right in!
Interested? Send us your CV together with a short introduction telling us why you'd be a great fit for one of the UK's most exciting food innovation consultancies. We'd love to hear from you.
Hint: Bland LinkedIn applications don't catch our attention as much as getting involved, and sending us a personal email is the assertion we'd like to see. Also, we get a huge number of applicants. So please, stand out if this is your dream role!
