You’ll lead on identifying learning needs and translating them into meaningful, practical solutions, from in-person workshops to virtual training and engaging digital content.

You\’ll design and deliver learning with impact, tailoring your approach to the format, audience and business goal. Our team takes pride in understanding learners deeply what motivates them, what challenges they face so we can create content that’s clear, relevant and easy to apply.

In this role you’ll collaborate with leaders and subject matter experts to shape learning that’s aligned with our purpose, tone and real-world demands, making sure it truly makes a difference.

Responsibilities:

  • Learning Needs Analysis: Collaborate with operational leaders to identify skill gaps and performance challenges, ensuring learning solutions are targeted and aligned with business goals.
  • Design & Deliver: Create and deliver practical, outcome-focused learning across face-to-face sessions, virtual workshops and digital formats to build both immediate and long-term capability.
  • Program Management: Manage end-to-end delivery of learning programs, including scheduling, communications, facilitation and evaluation for a seamless learning experience.

  • Support Leaders: Equip leaders with tools, resources and pathways to coach, develop and empower their teams through self-directed growth.
  • Embed Change: Partner with project managers and operational leaders to deliver training on new systems, products and processes, supporting our mission for a cleaner, greener future.

What you\’ll need to succeed

As an L&D Specialist your facilitation skills will set you apart; you’ll create engaging, inclusive experiences that connect with diverse audiences and bring clarity and energy to every interaction. You’ll be equally confident behind the scenes, designing and delivering practical learning that supports performance and helps people grow, whether through structured programs, coaching conversations, or on-the-job development.

You’ll be curious and resourceful, able to research and explore new topics deeply to transform complex information into clear, accessible learning that truly resonates with learners. With an investigative mindset, you’ll stay ahead of trends and bring fresh ideas to your work, and with a critical eye for quality, you’ll be passionate about refining content to ensure it truly lands.

As a skilled Specialist, you’ll thrive when balancing input from learners, leaders, and stakeholders, shaping diverse perspectives into learning solutions that meet the brief and drive impact.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience designing and delivering learning in operational, performance-driven environments that lead to measurable impact.
  • Experience working in the energy sector or similarly regulated, compliance-driven industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end learning delivery, including coordination, clear communication, and effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
  • Skilled in leveraging data, learner feedback and evaluation metrics to assess learning effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, comfortable engaging with colleagues across all levels and functions to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Experience coaching individuals or teams to support growth and embed learning in the workplace.
  • Highly organised with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and delivery cycles while maintaining quality and deadlines.
  • Proven expertise in managing and curating Knowledge Management Systems to maintain comprehensive, user-friendly, and accessible learning resource libraries.
  • Level 3 CIPD qualification or equivalent professional certification in Learning and Development or HR.
  • Hands-on experience creating and editing eLearning content using Articulate 360 or similar authoring tools.
