No day will be the same - here are some of the highlights. We’re looking for a Qualified Electrical Site Manager / QS to lead commercial Solar PV installations across the UK. This is a hands‑on role managing multiple sites and installer teams, with full responsibility from pre‑start through to handover. You’ll play a key role in a growing renewable energy business, delivering high‑quality projects while leading from the front on safety, performance, and client experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage projects end‑to‑end: From pre‑start meetings through to completion and handover.
- Lead site teams: Oversee 2–4 installer teams and drive performance on‑site.
- Own health & safety: Ensure full compliance and support RAMS/CPP preparation.
- Deliver Toolbox Talks: Ensure clear communication and safe working practices.
- Plan and coordinate works: Brief teams and maintain smooth day‑to‑day delivery.
- Work with office teams: Coordinate materials, logistics, and scheduling.
- Maintain quality standards: Carry out inspections and resolve issues early.
- Final inspections & handover: Ensure installs are completed to spec and signed off.
- Client communication: Act as the main on‑site contact and manage expectations.
- Documentation: Keep records up to date (O&M manuals, test certs, site photos).
- Drive improvements: Follow processes and help raise standards across projects.
Your base of Operations: Office, warehouse, and beyond.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified electrician with Site Manager / QS experience.
- Proven track record delivering commercial or industrial installations (Solar PV ideal).
- Strong team leadership and ability to manage multiple sites/teams.
- Solid understanding of health & safety on‑site.
- Confident dealing with clients and stakeholders.
- Organised and comfortable with reporting and documentation.
- Willing to be hands‑on when needed to keep projects moving.
- ECS Card + relevant safety certs (Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling).
- Full UK driving licence.
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- AM2 / 2391 Test & Inspection (or EAL equivalent).
- SMSTS / IOSH Managing Safely (or willing to obtain).
- CPR / First Aid certification.
