We have an exciting opportunity for a proactive, data‑driven marketer to lead the production of our domestic solar marketing strategy. This is a 12-month, fixed term role, with plenty of opportunity to make your mark, shape how we grow, and influence how customers experience our brand.
Responsibilities
- Growth: Lead and deliver the domestic acquisition marketing strategy for domestic solar business, driving growth across our energy supply customer base.
- Deliver: Plan and execute integrated highly impactful performance marketing campaigns that turn our target audience into Good Energy customers.
- Review success: Own the roadmap for delivery of our domestic solar marketing, ensuring we remain on track, hitting seasonal peaks with aligned campaigns and delivering test and learn strategies to continue to optimise our marketing.
- Forecasting: Own performance against acquisition targets, ensuring we’re delivering against commercial objectives, with regular forecasting of where we are performing vs target.
- Calibrate: Aligning cross‑functional groups within the marketing team and beyond to deliver against the strategy.
- Reporting: Managing campaign reporting, working with marketing data analyst to extract insights on campaign performance.
- Data led: Proactively act on insight to optimise existing marketing activity or introduce new activity that will support commercial objectives.
- Sharing knowledge: Proactively bringing examples of best practice, inspiration and insight to the wider marketing team, stakeholders and agency partners, to ensure we’re adapting to market trends.
- Communication: Utilise your strong stakeholder management, engagement and influencing skills to support best practice and efficient delivery.
- Collaboration: Partner with agencies and in‑house design and content teams to create compelling, conversion focused advertising assets, keeping a clear roadmap of activity to support prioritisation across the team.
- Stakeholder management: Build strong, trusted relationships with our proposition teams to bring new products to market and translate complex energy concepts into clear, customer‑friendly messages.
- Working together: Clear alignment and regular touch points with our comms team, to ensure campaigns are appropriately amplified through comms channels.
- Budget management: Ensure spending remains on track and customer acquisition costs are aligned to targets.
What you’ll need to succeed
- We’re looking for an ambitious, hands‑on marketer with a passion for growth. You’ll be someone who thrives when working in a fast‑paced, agile environment and relish the opportunity to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Highly experienced in acquisition marketing, with particular focus on digital acquisition, as well as additional channel experience.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, agile environment, making quick tactical decisions to improve campaign performance.
- Highly organised, motivated and proactive, with great attention to detail.
- Comfortable juggling multiple projects at once.
- Collaborative and strong at building relationships across teams and functions.
- Confident turning data into insight, spotting trends, and making evidence‑based decisions.

Hybrid working explained: Our office is based in Chippenham, Wiltshire. For this role, we’re looking for candidates who can come in to our Chippenham office, once a week, based on location. We offer both formal and informal flexible working options. Full‑time hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday. The office is fully accessible, allowing everyone to participate fully in their working lives regardless of any mobility challenges. We promote work‑life balance and flexibility through hybrid working, which combines both remote and office work.
