We are seeking a hands-on, Solar PV Electrical Engineer to become a key part of our growing domestic solar installation team. Join an established and respected renewable energy business where your expertise will drive the successful delivery of solar installations.
As our Solar PV Electrical Engineer, you’ll work with our Lead Solar PV Electrical Engineer, supporting the delivery of high-quality solar PV system installations across domestic properties, with occasional support on commercial projects. You’ll ensure every installation is safe, compliant, efficient, and meets our high standards of solar PV installations — all while providing outstanding service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Site: Keep all sites tidy, organised, and fully compliant with health & safety regulations.
- Assist with Deliveries and Labour: Help unload deliveries, move materials, and perform general labouring duties as needed.
- Work Independently: Show initiative and self-motivation to manage tasks efficiently.
- Install Electrical Systems: Carry out installation of solar panels, inverters, batteries, EV charging points, and perform general electrical work.
- Follow Company Policies: Adhere to all company procedures while actively contributing to continual improvement in standards.
- Be Reliable and Punctual: Ensure tasks are completed on time, demonstrating dependable work habits.
- Stay Organised and Efficient: Manage your workload methodically to maximise productivity.
- Meet Physical Job Demands: Handle the physical requirements necessary for the role.
- Be Adaptable and Open to Learning: Embrace new skills and adapt to evolving job needs.

Essentials
- 18th Edition qualified.
- ECS Card with additional safety qualifications for working at heights, confined spaces, etc.
- Able to pass an Enhanced DBS check.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid full UK driving license.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
Desirable
- Experience in the solar PV industry is ideal but not essential – full training will be provided on solar and EV charging installations.
