A great opportunity for a talented, creative, and passionate Content Writer to join our Marketing team at a truly exciting time. With ambitious expansion planned for 2026 and beyond, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we communicate as we grow. Reporting to the Senior Content Writer, you’ll develop compelling messaging and content that drives engagement and supports growth across our full range of services, including energy supply, solar, EV charging, battery storage, installation, and maintenance for both commercial and domestic customers.

You’ll play a key role in shaping how we communicate our products and services - including product launch messaging, blogs and case studies, advertising copy, email marketing, social ideation and SEO-optimised web content designed to drive traffic and engagement. You’ll also manage our popular monthly email newsletter, learning from the data to make improvements that have real impact. Working closely with senior leaders across the Marketing team, you’ll help plan, create, and optimise content across multiple channels, ensuring tone of voice consistency, clarity, and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Craft impactful campaign and product messaging across channels including the website, blog, product pages, email, social media, print, digital ads, and email newsletter to drive high-quality traffic and leads.
  • Lead, guide and manage content requirements from the Business and Home Growth marketing teams, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
  • Create SEO-driven content in collaboration with the wider team to support both Marketing and PR objectives.
  • Apply insights to optimise content performance and ensure best practices are consistently followed.
  • Leverage B2B & B2C content marketing strategies, particularly within the solar and energy sectors, to build engagement and establish thought leadership.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to create content aligned with growth objectives across all stages of the sales funnel.
  • Ensure all content is written in the Good Energy tone of voice to increase trust and recognition.
  • Support on content creation across our social channels.

What you'll need to succeed:

We're looking for an individual with excellent copywriting skills who can create accurate, punchy content that holds up to scrutiny and achieves the desired results. You’ll be able to manage multi-stakeholder content projects from start to finish, and communicate complicated subjects in a straightforward, attention-grabbing way for multiple channels. Creativity, attention to detail, and an organised and collaborative mindset are key.

Essential:

  • Strong project management skills, with experience collaborating closely with subject matter experts to generate ideas, translate complex topics into straightforward language and create different content outputs for different channels.
  • Highly collaborative, with a track record of working effectively across multiple teams, including Sales and Operations, to achieve shared goals.
  • Ability to work swiftly and accurately while keeping all stakeholders informed and aligned throughout the process.
  • A passionate and driven individual with great attention to detail.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the resilience and energy to deliver high-quality work first time.
  • Proven experience in developing compelling product benefit messaging and fully substantiated marketing claims.
  • Experience developing content across multiple formats – from snappy social assets to long-form thought leadership process.
  • A proven ability to take complex subjects and turn them into simplified content that’s tailored to the target audience and channel.

Our office is based in Chippenham, Wiltshire. For this role, we're looking for candidates who can come in to our Chippenham office once a week. We offer both formal and informal flexible working options. Full-time hours are 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday. The office is fully accessible, allowing everyone to participate fully in their working lives regardless of any mobility challenges.
