Role Summary
The Junior HR Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day HR operations across GOOD Agency, helping to deliver a smooth and positive employee experience.
This role provides hands‑on support across recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, wellbeing, while developing skills in employee relations, policy, and people processes and being the super‑user on the HRIS.
This role is ideal for someone who has 2 years+ exposure to generalist HR within (ideally) a busy creative agency.
You’ll work closely with the CEO, Finance Director and with a back‑office HR Director as needed for more complex HR matters.
You’ll also have access to GOOD Legal Service for advice as required by the CEO.
You’ll also work closely with the wider leadership team and team heads, contributing to the full employee lifecycle and helping maintain an inclusive, supportive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment
- Ensuring that job descriptions are up to date
- Support hiring managers write adverts and the advertising jobs on internal external websites
- Arrange interviews, schedule candidates and collate feedback.
- Attending interviews as appropriate
- Liaising with recruitment agencies where needed and agree T&Cs with advice from the FD.
- Employee Lifecycle
- Prepare offer letters, contracts and onboarding inductions for all departments
- Lead the new starter (induction) process, including welcome packs and system set-up
- Probation reminders and tracking, including all documentation, for more complex issues you’ll support the CEO / HR Director
- Coordinate leaver administration and exit interviews
- HR Operations & Administration
- Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy
- Support policy updates in line with current legislations
- Assist wellbeing initiatives from the belong and social committees
- Lead and support line managers with PDPs and 360 feedback bi‑annually
- Assist running employee engagement surveys and collate results, sharing at SMT meetings
- Liaise with line managers and training providers to organise training for the agency and collate feedback afterwards, including MHFA.
- Manage the signpost of internal training
- Support the CEO and FD to manage the HR budget as required for individual items such as training.
- HR administration – promotions, salary increase and change of employment letters
- Manage ad‑hoc HR projects
- Manage Parental leave policies / documentation and guidance
- Employee engagement – run surveys, analyse data and report to senior management team
- HRIS
• The HRIS super user and will be responsible for
- Maintaining employee records
- Department changes
- Employee changes: personal information, salaries, documentation, line manager reporting, holiday & sickness records, recruitment, L&D tracking, onboarding & offboarding
- Company documentation – changes and updates
- Pay & Reward
- Work closely with Finance in uploading monthly payroll changes
- Collate bi‑annual benchmarking reports for salary reviews with the support from the HR Director / FD
- Documentation for salary changes
- Support the Finance and HR Director with annual benefit reviews – Medical cash plan, and GAYE
- Manage the HR budget with oversight from FD and CEO.
- Ensuring compliance with Living Wage Accreditation and Poverty Pledge requirements
- Employee Relations
- Act as a first point of contact for day‑today employee queries, escalating more complex matters to the CEO, FD and HR Director.
- Provide line managers with support, guidance and best practice on employment law and compliance
- Support managers by providing basic guidance on policies and procedures
- Assist with the administration and coordination of ER processes, including notetaking in meetings, preparing documentation and tracking actions, managing upwards to the HR Director
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with GDPR requirements
- Identify recurring themes and insights to the CEO
- Culture & Office Responsibilities
- This role will be a key contributor to the agency culture, sitting on the belonging and social committees and will be partly responsible for organising events, training, lunch ‘n’ learns for the agency, with support from other committee members
- Will be mental health first‑aid trained to support employee wellbeing and to signpost where needed
- Assist in culture‑building activities, such as GOOD Egg and responsible for prize purchases and distribution
- Promote GOOD’s values and inclusive culture in everyday interactions, helping embed belonging across the agency
- Lead on work experience placements, with the support from belonging team
- Will oversee the small orders of some office items such as monthly stationary, weekly food orders such as snacks, biscuits, milk for culture, sanitary towels.
- Will have light duties for office management items such as managing any Service / maintenance enquiries only as needed, for items such as water cooler, BRITA tap, fridge etc.
Will also manage communication with cleaning services, Air Conditioning maintenance.
Skills & Experience
- Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of GDPR & confidentiality requirements
- Basic knowledge of UK Employment Law, HR processes and procedures
Skills
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
- Confident communicator with a positive, proactive approach.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced creative environment.
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience in a HR administrative or coordinator role (agency / creative industry desirable).
- CIPD Level 3 (or working towards Level 5) is preferred but not essential.
- Experience supporting employee relations cases beneficial but not essential.

- Hybrid Working - Monday & Friday's at home. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the office.
