G&H Ilminster is recruiting a number of roles in our factory - with immediate starts available. Have you got experience in precision manufacturing? Are you confident reading engineering drawings and do you have a keen eye for detail? We're looking for applicants who have good manual dexterity skills for work that includes operation of semi-automated machines.

We manufacture precision optical components for applications in aerospace and defence, industrial and life science markets.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- To set up machinery, processes and equipment to enable the safe manufacture of optics throughout the production process
- To follow written procedures to ensure the best methods and equipment are used at any given time
- Take responsibility of department/cell quality, output, safety and improvement targets
- Clean production equipment and work areas
EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- GCSE or equivalent qualifications in English, Maths and Science (Grade C+)
- Used to working to tight deadlines
- Ability to follow engineering drawings and instructions accurately
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Good manual dexterity skills
- Flexibility and openness to working overtime when required
