We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and service-driven Conference and Banqueting Manager to lead the successful delivery of high-quality events. In this role, you will oversee the planning and execution of conferences, meetings, and banquets, ensuring exceptional service and seamless event operations.

As a Conference and Banqueting Manager, you will be responsible for leading the events team, coordinating with various departments, and ensuring every event runs smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the planning, setup, and execution of all conferences, banquets, and special events.
  • Leading and mentoring the conference and banqueting team to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Working closely with the sales and events teams to understand client requirements and deliver tailored experiences.
  • Managing event logistics, including room layouts, catering, and audiovisual requirements.
  • Ensuring all events adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Monitoring guest feedback and implementing improvements to enhance service quality.
  • Controlling costs and maximising revenue opportunities within the conference and banqueting department.
  • Managing stock levels and liaising with suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Handling any issues or last-minute changes efficiently to ensure guest satisfaction.

The core skills and experience required to succeed:

  • Proven experience in conference and banqueting management or a similar hospitality leadership role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team.
