An exciting opportunity to join a leading marina operator as a Dry Stack Team Leader in the beautiful coastal town of Poole. The client operates out of multiple marinas in the UK and abroad, providing premium berthing and boatyard services. They require a dedicated and passionate person to join their team who is focused on delivering superb customer service and operations skills.

The Main Responsibilities Of The Team Leader

  • To be responsible for overseeing the dry stack operations when on shift.
  • Maintain a visible presence with regular patrolling of the dry stack, recording and/or reporting any problems or issues to the relevant person or services.
  • To carry out checks to ensure the safety and security of vessels, buildings, vehicles and people within the marina site boundaries and complete external lighting checks as required.
  • To be responsible for the allocation of vessels in the Dry Stack and organise the berthing of boats to yield maximum occupancy, ensuring that all payments for services are received in accordance with the company\’s finance policy.
  • To assist with lifting, blocking, pressure washing, towing and relaunching of boats.
  • Carry out boat lifting operations in accordance with the Company Health & Safety Policy.
  • To carry out routine maintenance; ensuring the marina remains safe, secure, clean, tidy and well landscaped at all times and to complete the required safety checks.
  • To serve fuel to customers and take all relevant payments via the fuel berth as and when needed, ensuring the highest customer service levels at all times.
  • To establish a good working relationship with staff, tenants and customers; which is based on trust and efficiency.
  • To ensure all legal, HSE and company policies including financial are being adhered to.

The Candidate

  • Experience in operating a forklift is necessary. Further training can be provided but please do not apply if you have never operated a forklift before.
  • A forklift qualification is also required.
  • Experience in leading/supervising a team.
