We're recruiting a Club Manager to lead the launch and day-to-day running of a brand-new outdoor padel facility opening on a university campus in March 2026. From pre-opening through launch and beyond, you'll have full responsibility for the club's operational performance, commercial results, and community culture.
Supported by a central leadership team but trusted to run the site as your own, this is a hands-on management role ideal for someone who enjoys building teams, growing participation, and creating a welcoming sports community from the ground up.
About The Padel Loft: The Padel Loft is the UK's only university-dedicated padel operator, delivering accessible, affordable and community-led padel clubs in partnership with universities. Our new three-court outdoor facility at Aston University is the latest step in our expansion across UK campuses, offering long-term career growth within a fast-growing sports brand.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading the day-to-day operation of the club, from bookings and court utilisation to front-of-house experience
- Acting as the main point of contact on-site and building strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Owning the commercial performance of the site including P&L, costs, revenue, utilisation and growth
- Recruiting, managing and motivating on-site staff, coaches and casual team members
- Building a vibrant, inclusive club community through events, leagues, social sessions and engagement activity
- Driving local marketing and daily social media presence to keep the club active and visible
- Ensuring the site operates safely, smoothly and to a high standard at all times
- Developing corporate, group and partnership bookings with local organisations
- Tracking performance data and using insight to improve participation and revenue
This is a role for someone who is just as happy welcoming players on court as they are analysing performance metrics or driving commercial growth.
What we're looking for:
- Experience in a management or supervisory role within leisure, hospitality, sport, fitness or customer-focused environments
- Strong people skills and a natural ability to create welcoming, inclusive spaces
- Commercial awareness and confidence taking responsibility for performance
- A proactive, hands-on leadership style
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends in line with club operations
- A genuine interest in sport and active lifestyles (padel experience is a bonus, not a requirement)
What's on offer:
- Up to £40,000 salary
- Performance bonus up to 10%
- 20 days annual leave + bank holidays + your birthday off
- Discounts on court bookings, retail and services
- Pension scheme and standard benefits
- Learning and development support, including coaching qualifications
- Clear progression opportunities as new sites launch nationwide
If you're excited by the idea of building something from scratch — and growing with it — this is a rare opportunity to make a real mark.
