The Reading Royals are seeking high-energy talent to serve as the voice and personality of our game-day entertainment, and join one of the best production staffs in minor league hockey. This individual will engage fans, lead promotions, announce sponsored activities, and enhance the in-game experience with enthusiasm and professionalism. We focus on fun as a driving factor behind our in-game entertainment. The ideal candidate thrives in front of large crowds, has excellent improvisational skills, and is passionate about blending hockey with entertainment to elevate the game day experience for all fans.

Key Responsibilities & Essential Functions
  • Host and engage with fans during pre-game, in-game, and post-game activities, including executing promotions, contests, and fan interactions.
  • Help create a fun, loud, memorable atmosphere that keeps fans coming back all season long.
  • Work closely with the game-day production team to ensure smooth execution of both scripted and improvised elements.
  • Conduct live interviews with players, coaches, and special guests when required.
  • Keep the energy high and maintain fan engagement throughout the entire game, adapting quickly to last-minute changes to ensure a seamless fan experience.
  • Use strong working knowledge of hockey to time announcements and host interactions appropriately around game action.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong, clear speaking voice with excellent crowd engagement skills.
  • Dynamic, energetic personality with a passion for sports entertainment.
  • Must be available to work a majority of our 36 home games, including evenings, weekends, two week day morning games, and holidays as required by the game schedule.
  • Ability to ad-lib and improvise in a fast-paced, live setting.
  • Comfortable performing in front of large audiences with confidence, enthusiasm, and a professional appearance/demeanor.
