The Digital Media Editor for UFC will play a key role in shaping the digital presence of the organization across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. This role is responsible for editing compelling video content for UFC’s social media channels, including both long-form and short-form formats, and ensuring high-quality, engaging storytelling that resonates with fight fans.
In addition to video editing, the Digital Media Editor will contribute to content posting across UFC Europe’s social media platforms, develop creative assets to promote regional events and athletes, and act as an ambassador for the UFC brand. The ideal candidate is a passionate and skilled digital content creator with a deep understanding of social media trends, platform-specific best practices, and the ability to craft visually engaging content that drives fan engagement.
Video Editing & Content Creation
- Edit and produce high-quality video content for UFC’s social media channels, including short-form clips and long-form storytelling pieces.
- Optimize content for platform-specific formats (Instagram Reels, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, etc.).
- Source and incorporate fight footage, interviews, graphics, and motion elements to enhance video storytelling.
Social Media Management
- Publish and schedule content across UFC Europe’s social media channels, ensuring timely and strategic posting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align content with broader UFC marketing and promotional campaigns.
- Capture, edit, and post real-time content from fight nights, press conferences, weigh-ins, media days, and other key events across social platforms.
- Work closely with on-site teams to provide fans with dynamic, behind-the-scenes access to UFC events in the EMEA region.
- React quickly to key moments, ensuring timely and engaging content that enhances UFC’s digital storytelling.
Brand & Regional Growth
- Develop creative assets that promote UFC events, athletes, and initiatives within the EMEA region.
- Work closely with the global UFC digital team to ensure consistency in brand messaging and visual identity.
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities in digital content to help drive engagement and growth across key markets.
Performance & Optimization
- Track and analyze the performance of digital content, making data-driven decisions to optimize future content.
- Stay updated on evolving social media algorithms and best practices to maximize reach and engagement.
- Experiment with new content formats, storytelling techniques, and platform features to enhance UFC’s digital presence.
You Have These:
- Minimum of 3 years editing experience on both short-form and long-form projects for digital platforms.
- Must have strong grasp of the latest editing techniques and visual trends.
- Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop and Lightroom, and have solid technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Basic photography and camera operation skills for capturing original content when needed.
- Must have excellent time management and project management skills in order to multitask and beat deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to think conceptually to tell visual stories and push boundaries.
- Must have great communication and storytelling skills to convey your approach and techniques to internal team members.
- Receptive to notes and feedback throughout the editing process.
- Passion for or knowledge of UFC and MMA a plus.
- Must be able to work irregular hours and travel frequently.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft products and the ability to learn other basic computer programs.
