Main Purpose of Job

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient loading and offloading of containers and staging of loads for export.

Key Outputs / Main Functions

  • Load outbound shipments and offload inbound shipments.
  • Move products to storage locations in the warehouse after offloading inbound container shipments.
  • Build, pick, and stack pallets in the export shipment staging area for loading in containers.
  • Move export orders from the staging area for loading into containers.
  • Identify and report mechanical and electrical faults to the warehouse coordinators or manager.
  • Identify and report damage or safety concerns to the warehouse coordinators or manager.
  • Stack empty pallets and relocate pallets.
  • Ensure that damaged and broken pallets are removed from inside the warehouse to the pallet shed and maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment both inside and under the warehouse canopy at all times.

Summary of required experience and qualifications

  • Five (5) CXC Ordinary Level Passes and experience in warehousing operations.
  • A valid Forklift Operator Licence.
  • Computer literate.
  • Competent use of Nestlé’s WHMS in an SAP environment.
