Role Summary
The Business Analyst will support a wide-ranging programme of strategic initiatives, with IFS Cloud delivery as the primary initial focus. The role is central to improving operational efficiency, strengthening governance frameworks, refining configuration and modification processes, and enabling digital transformation.
The successful candidate will work closely with technical teams and senior business stakeholders to ensure clear prioritisation, structured delivery, and successful outcomes across multiple initiatives. Experience with IFS is highly desirable. Relevant modules include Finance, Procurement, Subcontracting, Projects, and Expenses.
Platform Transition & Requirements
- Lead requirements gathering, documentation, and validation to support the transition to IFS Cloud
- Ensure business processes are clearly mapped and updated for Cloud readiness
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and business users to ensure alignment and minimise disruption
Delivery Oversight
- Prioritise IFS Cloud-related initiatives as the primary focus
- Support configuration reviews, testing cycles, and gap analysis to ensure a successful deployment
Application Support & Knowledge Management
- Develop and maintain high-quality support documentation
- Build a structured knowledge base to enable efficient and consistent issue resolution
Training & Adoption
- Create and enhance training materials and structured training programmes
- Support organisation-wide system training to drive adoption and effective usage
IFS Cloud Process Design
- Review, document, and standardise processes within IFS Cloud
- Identify opportunities to increase automation and operational efficiency
Process Analysis
- Lead cross-functional process reviews
- Redesign workflows to reduce inefficiencies and improve collaboration
Configuration & Modification Governance (CRIMS)
- Maintain and refine the configuration and modification request process
- Ensure submissions are clear, complete, and aligned with business objectives
Review & Validation
- Assess requests for feasibility, impact, and priority
- Support accurate prioritisation aligned with the overall programme roadmap
Digital Transformation & System Strategy
- Define short- and long-term objectives for IFS Cloud adoption
- Identify enhancement opportunities and propose future-state solutions
- Benchmark IFS usage against industry best practices and feed insights into the roadmap
Development Governance & Prioritisation
- Establish structured evaluation and approval processes for IT requirements
- Create templates and workflows to support data-driven decision-making
- Ensure all system developments align with business objectives and compliance standards
- Design and manage a transparent prioritisation framework
Support & Documentation
- Map business processes to support new developments and continuous improvement
- Ensure documentation and training materials remain current and accessible
- Support 2nd and 3rd line application support teams with escalated issues
