We’re looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our team and work on a leading account in the consumer tech space. The ideal candidate will have excellent media relations expertise and contacts, as well as strong project management, client service and writing skills. This is a fantastic 6-7 month contract opportunity to work on a well-known consumer tech brand!

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop impactful materials that are tailored to different audiences and ready for delivery.
  • Review others’ work and provide clear direction on how content may be improved.
  • Use your understanding of the media landscape to target journalists and strategies to gain the best cut-through when selling in, and share media knowledge with junior team members.
  • Identify media/digital insights and trends; understand how to turn analytics into actionable recommendations.
  • Execute live events with logistics, coordination and on-site media support.
  • Research and monitor media, influencers and competitors’ channels for relevant action and to guide strategy.
  • Exhibit confident presentation skills, delivering and developing presentations for both client and internal meetings.
  • Manage client requests and troubleshoot issues where necessary; this includes advising and managing the team on what is required to resolve them, being the lead go-to person across all account activities.
  • Manage medium/larger projects from start to end, including effective time and project management, factoring in senior review, editorial and design.
  • Take personal responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of projects against agreed plans and budget, proactively flagging any changes or delays to clients with solutions.
  • Support senior leads in financial oversight and management of projects, including budget trackers, invoicing, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Develop strong relationships with day-to-day clients, providing counsel (with input from senior team) as required.
  • Seek out opportunities for organic growth with existing clients and support senior team in the development of new business pitches.

Requirements

  • Several years experience at a consumer communication agency.
  • Highly skilled in generating media coverage.
  • Experience earning the confidence of clients and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Experience developing content for consumer audiences including media materials.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to coordinate workload effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Enthusiastic to learn new skills as part of a high-performing team.
