About the Role

We are looking for an Influencer Director to elevate our influencer offering and bring sharp expertise in developing influencer strategies, from macro to micro. Your thinking will connect culture, creativity and commerce and your work on influencer strategy will often need to dovetail into an overarching integrated strategy for earning attention and conversation, so the ability to partner with media specialists, integrated specialists and creative will be essential. You’ll help us push boundaries and set new standards for influencer marketing for our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead influencer strategies that align with brand objectives, cultural opportunities and campaign creative
  • Educate and inspire clients about the role of influencers in integrated and influencer only campaigns and ideas. You will be able to work seamlessly with creative, media specialists and social specialists to embed strategic influencer thinking into planning of ideas and campaigns
  • Advise clients and internal teams on the right selection strategy for influencers
  • You will be knowledgeable and keep abreast of all legal, commercial and regulatory changes and developments and will be able to feed this knowledge into the wider Golin agency (e.g. how to navigate influencer marketing in a HFSS world)

Industry Relationship Management

  • Maintain relationships with influencer agencies and agents identifying key trend shifts and developments within the industry, feeding education and learnings into the wider Golin business
  • Partner with social, PR and creative teams to deliver seamless integrated campaigns for clients
  • Be able to develop and lead innovative influencer strategies that can be executed within client parameters
  • Confidently sell in bold, breakthrough influencer strategies and be able to champion, navigate and guardian an idea through an internal stakeholder sign off process
  • Maintain best in class quality standards, ensuring influencer work feels authentic, impactful and brand safe

Measurement & Impact

  • Define KPIs and measurement frameworks for influencer campaigns, working with analytics teams to show ROI and business impact
  • Provide insight and recommendations to continuously improve influencer work and client outcomes
  • Help to develop best practice around tools, and help guide the agency on how to establish a seamless and efficient influencer management process that focuses on tech integration, moving away from manual models

Innovation & Thought Leadership

  • Keep the agency at the cutting edge of influencer trends, platform shifts and creator innovations
  • Introduce new formats, approaches and partnerships that help our clients stay ahead
  • Represent the agency in client sessions, industry forums and thought leadership opportunities as an influencer expert

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in influencer marketing and influencer strategy, ideally within an agency environment
  • Proven experience working with influencers across different tiers
  • Strong network of influencer, agent and platform relationships, with the ability to bring opportunities to the table and open doors to interesting partnerships and conversations
  • Strong understanding of how influencer integrates with PR, social and broader brand campaigns
  • Commercial acumen and confidence advising senior clients
  • Ability to juggle multiple high profile projects while maintaining impeccable attention to detail
