The Role
This is not just a Senior Manager role, this is a media led opportunity. You’ll be the engine driving media engagement across a portfolio of high profile tech clients. You’ll combine sharp media instincts with tech sector knowledge to deliver stories that resonate, coverage that counts and results clients can see. You’ll be client facing, managing day to day relationships while mentoring junior colleagues and ensuring every story lands with impact.
What You’ll Do
- Lead proactive and reactive media engagement across tech press
- Build and nurture strong journalist contacts, becoming a go to for media
- Spot and shape newsworthy opportunities for clients, crafting sharp narratives that cut through
- Manage client communications and provide trusted counsel on media strategy
- Draft press releases, media pitches, thought leadership content and Q&As
- Ensure seamless campaign delivery, tracking results and reporting coverage with impact
- Mentor and guide account executives and juniors, sharing best practice in media relations
- Collaborate with strategy and content teams to deliver integrated PR programmes
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in tech PR, ideally with agency experience
- A proven track record in media relations. Pitching, placing and nurturing coverage at scale
- Strong network of journalist contacts across business, national and trade press
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to craft compelling stories from complex tech topics
- Confident client handler. Trusted, proactive and commercially aware
- Passion for technology and innovation, with the ability to translate jargon into engaging stories
- A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast paced, media first environment
