Who You Are The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of and interest in the technology. You will make sure that dealing with Golin is the best part of a client’s day. Your responsibilities will include media relations across clients – securing tier one results and building career defining media relationships, finding relevance for our clients by keeping a close eye on what’s happening in the world and capturing results to measure the effectiveness of our work. As an Account Executive at Golin, you are constantly looking for new opportunities to learn. You ask questions, you receive feedback, and you apply it. You will have some entry level experience in a PR agency – b2b tech is a bonus. An interest in technology and how it is reshaping our world is a pre-requisite. Knowledge and Skills Embody an interest in media relations and the art of storytelling, showcasing an interest in the changing nature of media consumption and information sharing. Develop and demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of the tech and media landscape relevant to your clients. Maintain a basic understanding of all media competencies including messaging, pitching, integration, events, content placement and aligning all activity to a strategy. Work on multiple projects at one time and can work in a fast-paced environment. Have an appreciation for the regional nuances of international work Write, edit and help craft a range of materials (media pitches, briefing documents, comments, etc.), that fit with brand messaging. Understand what content will drive coverage and conversations. Brief local teams to organise press briefings, conferences and similar events for clients, and provide support as needed. Monitor and track client, competitor, industry and cultural news and share with team. Help track and report on campaign results. Actively listen to instructions and demonstrate an understanding of assignment expectations (timing and deliverables) seek out guidance when needed. Foster positive and productive relations with clients, colleagues and third parties, willingly accept new and challenging assignments and career growth opportunities and work well under pressure, remaining calm and professional. Take full responsibility for delivering accurate, timely work while communicating concisely with team members, partners, and clients. This includes maintaining strong knowledge of agency processes, understanding the administrative and financial aspects of account management, and ensuring precise time tracking and resource allocation.
