We are looking for a reliable and positive Groundworker to join our growing helical piling team. The role will involve working on helical pile installations, with a particular focus on underpinning, excavation and restricted access foundation works. You will usually be working as part of a small team of two or three, so we are looking for someone who is happy to get stuck in, work closely with others and bring a positive attitude to site each day.

Previous experience in helical piling is not essential, as training will be provided. However, experience in groundworks, underpinning, drainage, utilities, trial holes, excavation, concrete breaking or similar site-based work would be highly beneficial.

The role will include:

  • Carrying out groundworks and excavation works
  • Assisting with helical pile installations
  • Working on underpinning and foundation projects
  • Hand digging and working carefully around existing structures and services
  • Assisting with loading, unloading and preparing materials and equipment
  • Following RAMS, site instructions and health and safety procedures
  • Working as part of a small, professional site team

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Own vehicle to get to site
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team
  • Comfortable with physical site work

Preferred but not essential:

  • CSCS card
  • Machine tickets
  • Utilities background
  • Experience in underpinning or structural groundworks
  • Experience working around live services

A company van will be supplied following a successful six-month period. This is a good opportunity for someone who wants to join a growing specialist foundations business and develop their skills in helical piling and underpinning. To apply, please send your CV or a brief message outlining your experience.
