About the role
Golf Swing Systems is looking for a Golf Content & E-commerce Marketing Executive to help us grow and improve our online business.
We want to move beyond simply listing products online and instead create content that helps golfers solve real problems, improve their game and understand which products are right for them.
For example, rather than just saying “buy this training aid”, we want to explain what problem it helps with, how it works, who it is suitable for and why it may help a golfer improve.
At the same time, this is not just a creative content role.
A major part of the job will be helping manage the day-to-day running of our ecommerce store and making sure it is accurate, current and commercially focused.
- What you’ll actually do
- Create and update website content, product pages, category pages, blogs, buying guides, emails and campaign content.
- Help golfers understand how our products can improve their game, from training aids and putting products to launch monitors, golf nets and home simulator equipment.
- Add new products to the website and keep existing product information up to date.
- Make sure product descriptions, images, prices, specifications and categories are accurate.
- Support product launches, seasonal campaigns, offers and promotions.
- Help keep the webshop fresh and commercially managed day to day.
- Work with the ecommerce team to improve product pages, user experience and conversion.
- Keep an eye on product performance, pricing and margin.
- Look at what is selling, what is not selling and help identify where products need more attention.
- Help make sure we are not inadvertently selling products at the wrong price or with insufficient margin.
- Work with our UK and Denmark marketing teams to turn ideas into practical ecommerce activity.
- Help execute marketing plans and campaigns across our digital channels.
Who you are
- You play golf and understand the game. This is important.
- You are a strong and creative English writer.
- You have 1 to 3 years of experience in marketing, content, ecommerce or a similar digital role.
- You understand how good content can be both useful to the customer and commercial for the business.
- You are creative, but also happy doing the detailed day-to-day website work that keeps an ecommerce store running properly.
- You are organised, accurate and able to get things done.
- You are comfortable with digital tools and quick to learn new systems.
- You are curious, proactive and interested in learning more about ecommerce and digital marketing.
- Useful but not essential
- Experience with Woo Commerce, Word Press or a similar ecommerce platform.
- Basic graphic design skills, such as Canva.
- Basic understanding of SEO, email marketing or paid advertising.
- Experience creating product content, blogs, buying guides or social media content.
- An interest in golf technology, launch monitors, training aids or home golf simulators.
What we offer
- Salary of £26,000 to £30,000 depending on experience.
- Company pension.
- Private medical insurance.
- Life insurance.
- Sick pay.
- Employee discount.
- Free on-site parking.
- Casual dress.
- A varied role covering golf, content, ecommerce and marketing.
- The opportunity to help shape how we sell and promote products online.
