This incredible new space will bring together premium golf retail, state-of-the-art indoor golf simulators, café and bar offerings, events, and entertainment to create a one-of-a-kind golf destination in the South Island.

About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate golfer with exceptional customer service skills to join The Clubroom Christchurch team as a Golf Retail Sales Representative.

This is a permanent full-time position, perfect for someone who enjoys helping customers, thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, and genuinely loves the game of golf.

Previous retail or sales experience is highly regarded, but just as important is your enthusiasm, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.

Weekend availability is essential, with at least one weekend day required.

If you’re available for both Saturday and Sunday, even better — although we’re happy to be flexible for the right person.

• What You’ll Be Doing
• Deliver exceptional customer service and create premium in-store experiences.
• Assist customers with golf retail sales and product recommendations.
• Respond to customer enquiries in person, over the phone, and via email.
• Learn and perform custom golf club fittings (training provided).
• Carry out golf club repairs when required (training provided).
• Receive, process, replenish, and display stock.
• Maintain high visual merchandising standards.
• Help keep the store clean, organised, and presented to the highest standard.
• Ensure shop opening and shop closing processes are completed to the required standards.
• What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who loves golf, enjoys working with people, and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Ideally, you’ll bring

• A genuine passion for golf and a strong knowledge of the game.
• Previous retail or sales experience (preferred but not essential).
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Confidence working in a busy environment where no two days are the same.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to take initiative.
• Great organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Reliability, honesty, and accountability—you do what you say you’ll do.
• A collaborative approach, great team player, and the ability to contribute to a fun, supportive team culture.

This is a hands-on retail role, so you’ll also need to be comfortable being on your feet throughout the day and lifting stock of up to approximately 15kg when required.
